Founder note — “Why we capped it at 500”

A plain-text letter email explaining why the beta is capped at 500. No imagery, no buttons — it reads like a personal note.

Subject line + preheader

No emoji on this one — the whole format reads person-to-person, and the subject should too.

Preheader: A short note from the EmojiCopy team on founding membership. Two-minute read.

Email

Five short paragraphs, one green text link, a team sign-off, and an honest P.S. Nothing else — the restraint is the design.

SENDGRIDSend last in the sequence (after the feature spotlight and social-proof sends), to invitees who still haven’t joined. Build as mostly-text HTML: single 600px table, system font stack is fine, no images at all (this format often lands in the Primary tab), green text link instead of a bulletproof button. Personalize the opener with {{first_name}} when available (“Hi Sam,”), fall back to “Hi there,”. Footer keeps {{unsubscribe}} + sender address macros. No logo image — the text footer is deliberate.
